From the Airport to Ras Al Khaimah
Guests flying into Abu Dhabi sometimes continue to Ras Al Khaimah for a beach break, a mountain day or a meeting in the northern emirates. The road follows the coastal highway past Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman and opens up as the Hajar mountains appear near the end. Choose a daytime departure if you want the mountain views, and tell us your resort so we head for the right gate.
By road it is about 220 km and usually takes 2 to 3 hours. Most of the way is on E311 and E11. The road passes Sharjah and Ajman.

Zayed International Airport serves Abu Dhabi from the mainland, east of the city island, and is used by residents, business travellers and visitors flying in from around the world.
