From the Airport to Dammam

Dammam is the capital of Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province, and passengers arriving at Bahrain airport often continue there for oil-industry business, hospital visits or family stays. The drive means the King Fahd Causeway crossing, then city roads through Khobar and Dhahran, and the time depends almost entirely on the causeway queue. Avoid Thursday evening and Friday if you can.

By road it is about 80 km and usually takes 2 to 3 hours, plus time at the border. Most of the way is on Highway 619. The road passes Al Khobar and Dhahran.
