The Drive from Bahrain to Qatif

Qatif is a coastal oasis town of palm groves and old neighbourhoods, and this route is mostly family: weddings, condolence visits and relatives across the water. After the causeway you drive up through Al Khobar and Dammam, so city traffic matters more than distance. Avoid the evening rush on the Saudi side if you can.

By road it is about 90 km and usually takes 2 to 3 hours, plus time at the border. Most of the way is on Highway 613. The road passes Al Khobar, Dhahran and Dammam.
