The Drive from Dammam to Al Ahmadi
Al Ahmadi is Kuwait's southern oil town and home to the Kuwait Oil Company, and it is one of the first Kuwaiti towns after the Al Khafji / Al Nuwaiseeb crossing. Contractors and visiting engineers use this route from the Eastern Province, along with families heading to Fahaheel and the coast. The coastal road north takes 5 to 6 hours.
By road it is about 380 km and usually takes 5 to 6 hours, plus time at the border. Most of the way is on Highway 95. The road passes Qatif and Al Khafji.
