The Drive from Hail to Kuwait City
Hail to Kuwait City runs north-east through Qassim and Hafr Al Batin, then into Kuwait through the Ruqi crossing, a route used for business and family visits. The road is largely flat and open. Hafr Al Batin is a convenient place for fuel and food before the final stretch past Al Jahra into the city.
By road it is about 920 km and usually takes 11 to 13 hours, plus time at the border. Most of the way is on Highway 50 and Highway 65. The road passes Buraidah, Hafr Al Batin and Al Jahra.
