The Drive from Jeddah to Kuwait City
Kuwait is a regular destination for family visits, medical appointments and business, and the road from Jeddah goes up through Madinah and the northeastern desert to the Kuwait crossing. Hafr Al Batin and Al Jahra are the last towns before the capital. Breaking the journey in Madinah or Hafr Al Batin keeps it comfortable.
By road it is about 1,500 km and usually takes 17 to 19 hours, plus time at the border. Most of the way is on Highway 65 and Highway 50. The road passes Madinah, Hafr Al Batin and Al Jahra.
