The Drive from Jubail to Muscat
Muscat is a long journey from Jubail, taken for family occasions, business and holidays on the Sea of Oman. The route runs south through the Eastern Province, crosses at Al Batha, passes Al Ain and enters Oman at Al Buraimi before following the Batinah coast to the capital. An overnight stop in Al Ain turns it into a comfortable journey in stages.
By road it is about 1,250 km and usually takes 14 to 16 hours, plus time at the border. Most of the way is on E11 and Highway 95. The road passes Qatif, Dammam and Dhahran.
