The Drive from Riyadh to Muscat

Riyadh to Muscat suits business travellers, families going home to Oman and holidaymakers who would rather arrive rested than juggle connecting flights. The route runs across the UAE, crossing at the Al Ain and Al Buraimi area, then follows the Omani coast through Sohar. Set off early so the border stops fall in daylight and you reach Muscat with time to settle in.

By road it is about 1,350 km and usually takes 15 to 18 hours, plus time at the border. Most of the way is on Highway 10 and E11. The road passes Al Ain, Al Buraimi and Sohar.

Pickup and Drop-off

In Riyadh we collect you from any address, including Olaya, King Abdullah Financial District, Diplomatic Quarter and Al Malqa.

In Muscat we drop off wherever you need, such as Qurum, Al Khuwair, Mutrah and Ruwi.

Muscat is the capital of Oman, set between the Gulf of Oman and rugged mountains. Visitors come for government and business, the seafront at Mutrah, the Grand Mosque and its beaches.
