The Drive from Bahrain to AlUla
AlUla attracts travellers for the sandstone cliffs, Hegra and the winter events season, and the cooler months are when most guests make the trip. It is a long run across the Kingdom, 16 to 19 hours, ending in a landscape of rock formations that feels worlds away from the Gulf. A night stop on the way is common.
By road it is about 1,500 km and usually takes 16 to 19 hours, plus time at the border. Most of the way is on Highway 65 and Highway 70. The road passes Al Khobar, Dhahran and Dammam.
