The Drive from Bahrain to Jazan
Jazan lies in the far southwest on the Red Sea, a green coastal region known for its farms and the Farasan Islands. The journey from Bahrain is among the longest we drive, covering about 1,600 km, and ends with a drop from the Asir highlands to the warm coastal plain. Most guests treat it as a multi-day trip with overnight stops.
By road it is about 1,600 km and usually takes 19 to 22 hours, plus time at the border. Most of the way is on Highway 30 and Highway 40. The road passes Al Khobar, Dhahran and Dammam.
