The Drive from Bahrain to Makkah
Umrah groups and families often choose a private car to Makkah so everyone travels together and reaches the Haram rested. After the King Fahd Causeway the journey is a long, straight desert highway, about 1,350 km in all. If you plan to enter ihram on the way, tell us at booking so we can plan that stop.
By road it is about 1,350 km and usually takes 15 to 17 hours, plus time at the border. Most of the way is on Highway 40. The road passes Al Khobar, Dhahran and Dammam.
